Children and families
Here you can find your dream house at a good price, the nature right outside your door, simple everyday logistics and a safe and good childhood for your children.
"A very small word.
Now.
Still, it holds
all eternity."
Hans Børli
A safe childhood and an emphasis on education
Already in kindergarten, the foundation is laid for learning and getting sound interests. All municipalities have great kindergarten coverage, and an emphasis is placed on early intervention, educational content, well-being and security. A good starting point makes it easier to succeed further in the school career.
For a long time there has been a focus on schools and education, which is yielding results. The Kongsvinger region has good schools with a strong focus on the learning process, well-educated teachers and digital competence. KUSK (Kongsvinger Ungdomsskole) was built in the autumn of 2018 and is a modern school with room for 700 students. Glommasvingen school in Skarnes was completed in the autumn of 2019 with room for 900 students, making the school one of the country's largest primary schools. There are also modern upper secondary schools with many options in vocational subjects and general courses preparing for higher education.
