Adventurous rebus in the fortress town of Kongsvinger
The Scottish spies are approaching Kongsvinger Fortress. They have one goal – to steal the fortress treasure. Klara now needs your help to search for hidden letters in the fortress town's shops and restaurants. The letters will form a code that can give Klara important information about when the Scottish spies are planning their entrance.
Can you help Klara solve the code?
The town of Vår Kongsvinger og The Fairytale Fortress invites you to a playful rebus i Kongsvinger center. The organizers encourage families, hikers and other investigators in the region to wander the streets of Kongsvinger and look for letters that together will form a code that can give Klara a hint about when the Scottish spies are planning their entrance. The activity is suitable for everyone of all ages and invites you to explore Kongsvinger in a slightly different way. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to win great prizes!

Who is Klara and what's the deal with the Scottish spies?
The puzzle is inspired by the Fairytale Fortress family show "Colonel Krebs and the Scottish Spies", which will be performed at Kongsvinger Fortress from July 3rd to 12th, 2025. Read more about the fairy tale universe here: adventurefestningen.no
How to participate in the adventurous rebus
Enter on byen-var.no and download the sheet or pick up the puzzle sheet from one of the following locations:
- Service Square Kongsvinger Municipality
- Kongsvinger library
- City Hall Theatre
- Selected shops and restaurants in the city*

This is how it works
Visit the city's shops and restaurants and look for hidden letters in their premises. If you visit all the places on the map and manage to solve the code, you will be entered into a draw for two tickets to the family show Oberst Krebs and the Scottish Spies, which will be played at Kongsvinger Fortress from 3-12 July 2025, and many other great prizes.
Completed answer sheets must be submitted before stores close on Saturday, June 7. The rebus sheet can be submitted in one of the following ways:
- Delivered to Byen Vår Kongsvinger's mailbox (Storgata 1).
- Send a picture of the puzzle sheet with your answer to tel. 476 53 980.
The winners will be drawn on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 and contacted privately.
