What studies and skills-enhancing offers can you find in the Kongsvinger region?

The University Center in Kongsvinger (HIK) takes higher education in Kongsvinger to a new level. There is a strong focus on unique, relevant and future-oriented studies.
Together with The University College in Innlandet (HINN) and the business world, a new specialization has been developed in the master's education for economics and management (civil economist; Digital management and business development). In autumn 2020, together with HINN, a Bachelor's degree in sustainability economics. This was the first established course of study in Norway within sustainability economics, and helps to cover a well-documented competence gap in business and the public sector. It is shown that businesses that focus on sustainability have better results. This is a bachelor's degree that is not only imbued with the idea of ​​sustainability, but also qualifies for admission to a master's degree as a civil economist.

The university center in Kongsvinger also offers vocational school education locally through Vocational school in Innlandet, both single modules and larger races within health, management and subjects aimed at industry, construction and construction.

Here we have experienced great growth in recent years.

With a bachelor programme in nursing, Bachelor of Social Care, a Master of Business Administration course, a number of shorter courses in economics and management and popular vocational school offers, we are equipped to serve both the Kongsvinger region and the rest of the country with relevant education. In addition to offering studies with credits, we also deliver and facilitate a number of different courses and continuing and further education both with and without credits. Here there are both short-term courses aimed at the public sector and the business community in addition to tailored longer courses specially designed for one or more businesses. The goal is that this will further develop Kongsvinger as a university town and lift the business community to new heights. We are ready for the future! 
 
Career Inlandet Kongsvinger offers many different subjects within upper secondary education, both vocational subjects for vocational certificates and subjects for general study skills for adults. If you take a vocational certificate with us, you can go on to higher vocational education (vocational school) with our good partner Høgskolesenteret.
