Cross functional collaboration and competence sharing can enhance growth opportunities for businesses. Over the past years, several operational business networks have been established in our region with the intent to share knowledge and learn across industries.

7sterke

7sterke is an industrial cluster consisting of 94 small and large companies that interact and innovate in the Kongsvinger region. The purpose of the cluster is to influence regional business development and policy, create regional attraction, stimulate innovation and competence development and market the region as an attractive industrial region.

The industrial cluster has four professional networks within production, HR, market and sustainability. In each network, members can meet others from their own subject area and share knowledge and experiences across commune boundaries and companies to contribute learning and development.

Visit Eastern Norway

Visit Eastern Norway is the destination company for the municipalities of Åsnes, Grue, Kongsvinger, Eidskog, Nord-Odal and Sør-Odal plus 11 other municipalities in the Ringsaker, Elverum, Gjøvik, Hadeland and Ringerike regions. 

In line with the National Tourism Strategy, a holistic and sustainable development of tourism is planned. This means that Visit Eastern Norway, in addition to its marketing tasks, has a strong focus on destination development with goals of growth and value creation, satisfied guests and attractive local communities with satisfied people, while at the same time working to reduce the climate footprint. The goals are achieved through broad cooperation between the municipalities, member companies and the Visit company. 

The collaboration includes, among other things:

– Innovation and development

– Sustainable tourism development

Odal Næringsforum and Eidskog Næringsforum are meeting places and interest organizations for the business community in our immediate area and region. We also have several established trade union and city center associations in the individual municipalities that work for increased trade and city center development.
