Working Committee (AU)
The working committee consists of the chairman of the regional council, the deputy chairman of the regional council, an elected mayor from the regional council and the chairman of the councilor committee.
"Together with the administration in the Regional Council for the Kongsvinger region, AU is responsible for case preparation and recommendations for decisions in ORM."

Responsibility for case preparation. Can act in urgent cases
AU may, in accordance with the Regional Council's instructions, act on behalf of the Regional Council in urgent matters. This in that case with the leader as responsible to the regional council. The municipalities' views on the matter are obtained before a decision is made, as far as possible.
AU can process applications in accordance with the regional council's, current management document. This with the leader as responsible before the regional council. AU may choose to reject applications that do not comply with the regional council's current governing document.
AU is given a mandate to allocate up to NOK 50.000 for projects that are in accordance with the regional council's current management document. Matters dealt with by AU shall be referred to the regional council.
In 2021-2023, AU has the following members:
- Kari Heggelund, mayor Åsnes (leader),
- Rune Grenberg, mayor Grue (deputy chairman),
- Eli Wathne, mayor Kongsvinger
- Trond Stenhaug, municipal councilor Eidskog (chair of the councilors' committee)
